A Note About Radiology Technician Salary

Specific radiology technician salary data is not readily available, since the position is no longer common. The term "radiology technician," while often still used by the public, has mostly been phased out in professional circles. While "radiology technicians" and "radiologic technologists" share many of the same duties, radiology technicians typically complete two-year programs, whereas radiologic technologists complete four-year programs, which is quickly becoming the educational standard for this profession.

With little potential for advancement into senior- or management-level positions, a radiology technician salary tends to fall at the lowest end of the radiologic technologist pay scale.
